The Bear Outdoor > Himalaya > Climb Mera Peak, the highest trekking in the Himalayas

Climb Mera Peak of 6,476 meters high, considered one of the most exciting trekkings in the Himalayas, as  it is the highest summit you can reach with Trekking permission.

Although the views from its summit are important, from where you can see five of the 14 eight-thousand (Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse and Kanchenjunga), the trail to climb Mera Peak is more important, since for ten days we will be walking through the Hinku valley, a remote valley in the Solokhumbu region where we will live in camps until we reach the base of the Mera Peak glacier. The Climb to Mera Peak does not have great technical difficulties, but altitude can be a challenge.

We will have the acclimatization to climb Mera Peak during our trekking through the Hinku valley while a local guide will accompany us to Khare. From there to the summit of Mera Peak we will be alone or accompanied by a high altitude Sherpa if requested. The return to Lukla will be donde via Zeterwala, a beautiful direct pass that crosses valleys.
