A beautiful route to Hike in the Guadarrama National Park, a day trip to climb PeƱalara Peak. A route that will take us through the most beautiful glacial valleys of the Madrid and Segovian mountains.
Pico PeƱalara with 2,429 meters is the highest peak that we can find in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, being the highest peak in the Community of Madrid and the province of Segovia.
On this exclusive excursion through the PeƱalara valleys, accompanied by one of our certified guides, we will be able to enjoy an ancient glacial area with a high ecological value that enjoys special protection, due, among other things, to the species of amphibians considered unique and that they are in danger of extinction. The glacial lagoons dot the valleys while the rocks show the erosion of the steep cliffs of Claveles and los PƔjaros. In addition, on our tour of the Segovian side we will visit old trenches that remind us that years ago the whole of the Sierra de Madrid was a great wall during the Civil War that divided both sides, in short, a beautiful route through the Guadarrama National Park.
To finish our hike in the Guadarrama National Park, and before we move back to the capital, we will enjoy mountain cuisine at Venta Marcelino.

Itinerary
We will be picked up at the meeting point established in Madrid and transferred by private vehicle to Puerto de Cotos. There we will start our hikeĀ that will take us through the most protected area of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. At the end of the route we will eat at Venta Marcelino and then be transferred back to Madrid.
The itinerary can be modified for any circumstance that the Guide considers appropriate.
