The Bear Outdoor > Himalaya > Himlung Himal Expedition

The Himlung Himal Expedition will take us to climb a mountain of more than 7,000 meters in western Nepal. This summit is used for those preparing their future ascents to mountains of more than 8,000 meters.

The 7,126-meter Himlung Himal is located in the Naa Phu region, northeast of Annapurna and northwest of Manaslu. Like many other regions of Nepal, they opened to tourism in 1992 and even so for the Himlung Himal Expedition additional permits are still required due to their high level of protection. This region does not have as much affluence as the Khumbu Valley, which has nothing to envy.

The services included in the Himlung Himal Expedition include a complete assistance service at Base Camp. The camp will be equipped with the latest technology and food will not be neglected at any time so that the mountaineers have enough energy to undertake the expedition.

The trekking will take us to hike through the Phu´s valley where Tibetan influences are present. The walk passes through Dharmasala, Meta, Kyang, and Phu Gaon, which is the oldest and largest Buddhist settlement in Naa Phu. The base camp is located in an area of grasslands where we will not coincide with more than 10 teams that intend to climb the Himlung Himal.

The Himlung Himal climb by the normal route is not specifically technically difficult since it does not involve any climbing section itself. A real challenge in the Himalayas.
