Trekking Alto Sil is a different way to discover Alto Sil in five days, through short, uncomplicated itineraries to discover hidden places in the Sierra de Gistredo.
For 4 days we will walk through valleys and villages through which it seems that time has not passed. It is practically so, since some of those villages were abandoned more than 4 decades ago. During our Trekking in Alto Sil, we will get to know the typical vegetation of the area, among which the chestnut and century-old oak trees stand out. We will also will see see cave paintings, “brañas” or shepherds’ huts, feeling how hte locals used to live for ages.
Although it won´t be easey, ruing our trekking in Alto sil, we will follow the trail of mythical species in our region such as wolves and bears.
We will also visit and get to know first-hand stories and places through which the famous Carrera Alto Sil runs.

Day 3: Santa Cruz del Sil – Primout
Day 4: Páramo del Sil – La Campona – Páramo del Sil
Day 5: La Braña de Salentinos – Hometown
